About me!

I’m Monsura! I’m a graphic designer and a senior at Georgia State University, pursuing a B.F.A. in Graphic Design. I’m a lover of many things: branding, creative direction, cats, food, judging some pretty questionable ads I see out in the wild, and, of course, graphic design. You can say that I’ve known who I was since I was young, or I’m deeply stubborn, but regardless of that, I’ve been pursuing design since I was in the 7th grade!

Stubborn or not, I’ve stuck by design for so long because I truly love the process of being able to create something completely new. The thought of creating something that can exist and have a function keeps me motivated to push ahead. I appreciate paintings, art, and galleries as much as the next person, but I love the fact that my creativity isn't restricted to a gallery wall.

The beauty of design is that it's so accessible. I can see something I created on a billboard, a grocery shelf, or in a book, and even if no one knows I made it, the fact that it's even out in the world is thrilling. I guess you could even say that graphic design is my passion! Jokes aside, I strive to be a designer who is capable of anything and everything and can take on any challenge that comes my way.

Where am I now?

I recently wrapped my internship as a Retail Brand Design Intern at JLL, as well as working as a freelance designer for the Atlanta Preservation Center. If you'd like to see more of my work, you can find me on Instagram!
